It was kind of disappointing because it was so small compared to 5 years ago. We ended up going on Seniors Day, they were being bussed in from everywhere and the sad/funny thing is that no one even ASKED for our ID's; we got in free too. Oh, well.
No horses, very few cattle, no weaving, lot of quilts though. The quilters were there in force, good for them!
Well, we made it to the pig races, then a treat and off to the carnival to lose the treat (almost anyway).
The bumper cars were so much fun the grandkids had to go twice. A robotic section was also a huge hit!

I'm sure it was the grandkids that got you free admission - it couldn't have been age related!
The quilts are beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing!
Funny about pig races....I saw one last year at a fair in Vermont. That sounds more picturesque than it was....it was a pig racing venue with a track and all kinds of red and white racing stripes. The antithesis of Vermont really.
OK - I digress (as usual).
Sounds like you're doing a great job on the entertainment front!!!

The kids liked the silly pig races, I was surprised!
They've gone home and back to school now, I'm nearly rested up!
Almost all county fairs seem to be getting smaller. To bad. I've always enjoyed them but like so many people don't go to often. No reason any more since both DH and I are retired. Glad you got in free.
